The growing interest in potential applications of pseudopeptides and peptidomimetics in immunology,including synthetic vaccines and immunodiagnostics,has led to a deeper investigation on the antigen/antibody interaction,particularly focused on the stereochemical requirements,in terms of chirality and backbone modifications,for peptide antigenicity and immunogenicity.
