Avian cardiology: Part I

Diagnosis and therapy of avian cardiac disease are still in their infancy. Nevertheless, scientific knowledge about diseases of the avian heart and its large vessels has increased considerably within the last few years. This master class reviews anatomical peculiarities of the different species, as well as important diagnostic tools such as echocardiography and electrocardiography (which will be covered thoroughly in Part II). The most common diseases of the circulatory system, their diagnosis, andtreatment are also discussed.
