EVALUATION OF DIFFERENT COMMERCIAL ELISA KITS FOR DETECTING ANTIBODIES AGAINST PRRS VIRUS IN EUROPE

摘要

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance of the main commercial tests available on the European market for the detection of antibodies against PRRSV, to determine the best tools for characterization of herd immunity. The different parameters that have been investigated are: specificity, detectability, reproducibility, and sensitivity. Four different EL1SA kits (A, B, C, and D) were supplied either by manufacturers or obtained from distributors. The work was done following the noticesof the commercial products. The two commercial ELISA kits C and D share the same antigen.
