摘要

Design of electric devices must fulfill more and more requirements for device performances and parameters. A good design may require an analysis of the electromagnetic field distribution. The combined use of simulation tools along with optimization algorithms, deterministic or stochastic, can provide good design solutions at a reduced cost. The comparison of two widely used heuristic optimization algorithms is presented in this paper. Tabu Search and Simulated Annealing are used to solve a classical and simple optimization test problem.
