ENTERPRISE INTRA- AND INTER-ORGANISATION INTEGRATION (EI3-IC) AN INITIATIVE FOR INTERNATIONAL CONSENSUS

Today's worldwide markets lead to enterprise organisations consisting of different companies located in many countries around the globe. Managing and decision making in such organisations becomes very dependent on the availability and usability of information coming from the different organisations, requiring representation with common syntax and semantics. However, application of enterprise inters and intra-organisation integration technology suffers from lack of common representation of information coming from different sources. The paper describes an international initiative that will provide an international discourse on the subject of enterprise inter- and intra-organisational co-operation. First results from the work will be reported.
