Firefighting in Parking Garages Using Impulsventilation - 2 Case Studies

In December 2000 and January 2002 there occurred car fires in parking garages protected by IVS Systems made by PSB. In both cases the cars were completely destroyed (1 respectively 2 cars). In spite of that the garages were so well protected that they could reopen less than 45 minutes after the fires started. The presentation describes the IVS-Systems, reports on the timeline of the fires and analyses the damages that occurred.
