摘要

Micron-sized domain of columnar liquid crystal was successfully fabricated by polarized infrared laser incidence, in which the molecules align uniformly. The relation between the polarization of incident beam and the direction of alignment was revealed. These results indicate that this could be a new tool for micro-structured film of highly ordered liquid crystal in organic film device fabrication.
