摘要

The transient response of a WO_3 based sensor to 1.5 ppm NO_2 in air was studied using AC impedance spectroscopy. The time taken for the sensor to respond fully to the change in gas concentration was ca. 5 hours. Bulk and grain boundary contributions to the overall resistivity, resolved by analysis of the AC impedance spectra, suggested that while there is a significant increase in the grain boundary resistivity when NO_2 is introduced, the bulk resistivity also reduces slightly.
