This study proposes an upper bound solution to compression forming of three-layer clad sheet. Frictions between the upper and lower dies and the clad sheet are assumed as constant shear friction, but can be different. The shape of the outer surface, the effective strain distribution, and the compression force can be determined with the upper bound method. However, the stress distributions can not be obtained via the upper bound method, they could be obtained by the slab method. In this study, effects of various compression conditions such as the clad thickness ratio, the shear yield stress ratio, the frictional factor ratio, the width thickness ratio, the frictional factor on the compression characteristics are found by the two methods. The compression force based on both models is compared to prove the feasibility of the two analytical models
