Calculation of the furnace in the industrial and power boilers is the most important and the most reliable part of the thermal calculation, and it has important influence on rationalization of energy consumption. Primary task in designing a furnace with dry-ash removal, which is mostly applied for the coal with relative intense reaction capability, is to prevent slagging of heat surfaces that limit working time of boiler plants. This is especially important in designing a large boiler plants. In the paper one-dimensional zonal method of the furnace thermal calculation of steam boilers is presented. It can successfully define disposition of flue gas temperature and specific thermal load of water walls with height of the furnace in case of uneven deposits distribution which vary in size and quality.
