A GENETIC ALGORITHM-BASED MODEL FOR BREAST CANCER PROGNOSIS

Genetic Algorithms are used to evolve two different types of mathematical models: simple and composite models for breast cancer prognosis and selection of subsets of prognostic factors. We present results that demonstrate that Genetic Algorithms are able to select subsets of prognostic factors and produce models with high breast cancer prognostic predictive accuracy.
