The necessity to control the quality of steel sheets continuously during its production enforces the development of online NDE-measuring systems to enable the online-measuring of mechanical-technological characteristic values. It is shown that continuous online measurements based solely on the data of the harmonic analysis of eddy current signals are well established within rough industrial environments providing reliable mechanical-technological characteristic values. Underlying disturbing values are compensated reliably via a new algorithm. Thus the computed characteristic values show clearly changes of the material which are caused e.g. by variations of the furnace temperature or drawing-out ratio.
