Numerical simulation of violent wave overtopping at seawalls

Preliminary results from the AMAZON-VoF code developed at MMU are presented together with a description of an appropriate seaward boundary condition. The code has been applied to a severe validation problem involving a collapsing water column and an obstacle and comparisons with experimental photographs are made. The code has also been applied to green water overtopping of a simple, sea wall geometry and encouraging preliminary results are reported.
