Urban data processing for the elaboration of drainage projects: application to the waste water management

In this article we present an approach for an urban data modeling and processing for the elaboration of drainage projects. This approach places the projected drainage system in its "catchment area" environment. Two principles are adopted: the data management support and the decision-making support for the development of drainage projects. Firstly, we locate the context of the urban drainage. The emphasis is put on the information systems used and on the problems on urban data. Secondly, a first approach for a systemic modeling for the elaboration of drainage projects and the necessary tools for the urban data processing is proposed. Finally, the application of the adopted approach is illustrated in the example of the waste water management specificities of the local community "Communaute de Communes du Bethunois".
