DEVELOPING A PRECISION AGRICULTURE CURRICULUM FOR ON-FARM RESEARCH - THE MISSOURI PRECISION AGRICULTUREMASTER PROGRAM

The Missouri Precision Agriculture Master program was created to assist a cadre of innovative farmers in designing, implementing, and analyzing on-farm precision agriculture experiments. The program works one-on-one with individuals with the goal of equipping them to become information resources for their neighbors. Designing an appropriate training curriculum for the participants is an important step in the development of this program. Here we present a description of the Precision Agriculture Master program and introduce a curriculum outline developed from discussions with an advisory group of producers, agribusiness representatives, and state and federal agency personnel.
