摘要

The polarizing characteristics of materials such as paints, metals and dielectrics, are distinct. Measurements of the Stokes vector or the Mueller matrix provide quantitative information about the material characteristics. This paper describes a laboratory experiment, performed under the support of the United States Air Force Research Laboratory, the results of which establish the ability to numerically distinguish materials using a non-imaging active laser system. Such an approach is described in the literature as sub-pixel de-mixing.
