Service structure and its description in peer-to-peer network appliance architecture AMIDEN

摘要

In this paper, we have proposed a new concept of a networked appliance service and a mechanism on a home network, and also propose new service description for them. With the proposed mechanism, since it has a flexible manner to design legacy and new services, any type of services can be designed with the AMIDEN protocol and it works very effective when organizing and launching a service with a set of simple networked appliances on a peer-to-peer network environment. Furthermore, since the description is generic to describe the service topology and contents, it is extensible and applicable for other transport. To confirm how the mechanism actually works with real platform and also to check its efficiency, we are now implementing the protocol on a prototype now.
