In this study, stochastic analysis of a cable-stayed bridge is performed on the chosen example bridge for spatially varying seismic excitation which includes the incoherence, wave-passage and site-response effects. Solutions obtained for the spatially varying seismic excitation case is compared with those of the uniform ground motion model. It is observed that spatially varying ground motion model has important effects on the dynamic behavior of the bridge and the variability of the ground motion should be included in the stochastic analysis of long span bridges, like cable-stayed bridges.
