The buckling and postbuckling behavior of a viscoelastic annular plate with an initial imperfection is investigated. Firstly, the mathematical description is formulated and the critical loads of linear analysis are obtained. Secondly, a numerical scheme is proposed to calculate the postbuckling response of the plate, the influence of the initial imperfection and the compressive load on the postbuckling behavior of plates is demonstrated. The algebraic equation, which the asymptotic value of the plates' deflection satisfies, is derived finally.
