The main function of paving jute nonwovens is sealing, bonding and stress reduction in soil, which are being designed to reinforce sub grade by introducing a restraining tensile force. The task of a paving fabric'is to permanently prevent the penetration of soil into stone layer and weaving courses. The penetration of soil will result in changing the position of. surface courses and subsequent cracking if the blocking is not permanent The infiltration of soils may lead to fall in the shear strength of the base layer and under continued traffic stress surface deformation, formation of ruts and loss of bonding will result. Its purpose is to reduce the tensile stress in the pavement at the point of crack thereby absorbing the stresses. The controlled reduction of shears coupling results in a significant reduction of the required pavement height.
