The well-known asymptotic correlation functions for the ship's wave determinations are based on the assumption of a stationary pattern of a ship's motion. However, the ship's waves field is formed during some period of time. A specifically significant influence upon the wave forming processes is effected by a limited basin depth. In this paper, the issue of a non-stationary influence upon the ship's waves is described, and the main results of the estimations regarding this influence are presented.
