In this work Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu films were electrodeposited on Ag from a DMSO solution containing the overall metallic ion nitrates. Two different electrochemical techniques were applied: constant potential and pulsed potential electrolysis. Comparative XRD, SEM and EDS analysis have been performed in order to characterize the crystalline phase, composition and morphology of the obtained films. The results show that the films with the highest purity phase (Bi{sub}2Sr{sub}2CaCu{sub}2O{sub}8) and the best crystallographic orientation (c-axis oriented) are obtained for the potentiostatic deposition (t= 600 s) but the pulsed potential mode leads to films of better morphology.
