Design and construction of market street bridge--WV

摘要

Design and Construction of demonstration bridges in the United States of America using fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite decks has been growing because of their non-corrosive properties, higher strength to weight ratio and ease of erection through modularization. This paper presents the design and construction details of Market Street Bridge, WV having FRP (modular) deck on steel girders. Special attention has been devoted herein to deck-girder fastener details, construction methodology of FRP modular decks including techniques of field bonding of deck modules, and labor productivity.
