Corrosion resistant polymer road bridges: an Australian approach

This paper presents a new approach to corrosion resistant polymer composite bridge structures that is presently being pioneered in Australia. While overseas composite bridge developments are largely based on the pultrusion process, the present method uses an innovative casting technique to produce bridge structures that are competitive with standard steel and concrete bridges while having all the advantages of fibre composites.
