An emulsion which was a mixture of silanol aqueous solution and silicone oil was poured into vessels and frozen under stirring at various cooling temperatures. We investigated effects of the material of the cooling surface and the wall thermal resistance on the ice formation process. The following results were obtained. (a) Under the same condition of wall thermal resistance, it was effective against ice adhesion to coat PFA resin inside the vessel. (b) Under the various thermal resistances of vessel wall made of PTFE, critical heat flux, over which ice adhered on the cooling surface, was nearly constant.
