In order to reduce the combusted amount and fuel consumption by equipment used for solid waste incineration, a drying system using a super heated vapor is widely noticed for high water content solid wastes due to its high thermal efficiency. In addition, dried materials such as Refuse Paper & Plastic Fuel can be used as solid fuel. However, the temperature and flow rate of super heated vapor suitable for drying high water content wastes to be processed remain unclear. In this paper, these parameters are estimated theoretically and this new material resource recycle system is compared with conventional waste incineration equipment from the standpoint of environmental impact.
