Numerical simulation of heat transfer and fluid flow for exothermic reaction (HCl + NaOH → NaCl + H{sub}2O) has been conducted using Moving Particle Semi-implicit method. In the simulation, the chemical reaction is assumed that both the fluid-particle of HCl and the fluid particle of NaOH exchange immediately the product particle if they contact each other. Furthermore, the simulation is taken account of the change in fluid density and heat of reaction. For the case of the little change of the fluid density in the reaction, some protuberances appear and vanish repeatedly near the interface of the reaction. On the other hand, when the fluid density of the product is smaller than that of the reactants, some plumes appear near the interface. They vary the fingering flow with time elapses. These calculated results agree qualitatively with our previous experimental results.
