Ice crystal growth on the solid surface in supercooling water

摘要

The purpose of this study is to clarify the effect of the surface properties of a wall on the ice crystal growth along the wall in water or aqueous solution. We used a cupper plate and two grass plates which were naked and coated in a thin film of fluorine resin. It is shown that growth velocity along the wall depends on surface properties of the wall and concentration of solution.
