In recent years, serrated finned tube has been used for the heat exchanger to recovery waste heat instead of spiral finned tube in the field of thermal power generation. Serrated finned tube has the feature of higher fin height and heat transfer promotion by notch in the end of fins. In this study, we clarified the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of finned tubes banks in forced convection by comparing serrated finned tube with spiral finned tube.
