In case of crystal growth from melt, supercooling takes place at solid-liquid interface by effects of molecular kinetics, solute concentration in the melt and interface shape. Pattern of crystal is also affected by anisotropy resulting from lattice structure. In order to predict ordered and complex pattern of crystals, relation between the interface supercooling and growth rate for various crystal orientation are experimentally investigated. Non-facet type crystal shows much faster growth rate than facet crystal. Moreover, for facet type crystal, distinct anisotropy is measured in growth rate for different crystal face.
