摘要

So as to improve techniques and methods used to follow over time and space the forest surface conditions in an objective of prevention of forest fire. New methods allowing to increase the precision of the evaluation of forest meteorological index estimated from the meteorological network have to be explored .The general objective of this paper is to present the methodological approach developed to evaluate the potential of NOAA-A VHRR and GOES image for the regionalisation of the Forest Fire weather Index (FWI). It has therefore to allow to find operational surface condition indicators and to structure a method adapted to our forest territory to evaluate the risks of fire from the processing of NOAA-A VHER and GOES images combined with the meteorological network. The project have also to evaluate the potential of the integration of NOAA data with tools already used by the SOPFEU (Societe de Protection des Forets centre le Feu).
