摘要

Edge detection is concerned with the localization of significant variations of gray level in an image and the identification of the physical phenomena that originated them. Enhancement around edges aids in edge detection. In this paper, we employ two different types of rules for processing that sharpens edges while smoothing regions without edges. The results on several images indicate that our method does this fairly well. Here we show a particular set of results for comparison.
