Endoscopic Nd - YAG Laser Treatment for Malignant and Benign Lesions of the Tracheobronchial Trees

Endoscopic Nd: YAG laser treatment is considered to be an important procedure as palliative treatment in cases with unresectable advanced malignant lesions of the tracheobronchial trees. Stenting following Nd: YAG laser is also a useful tool to keep quality of life in some cases. Early stage squamous cell carcinoma and benign tumors appears to be a good indication for endoscopic Nd: YAG laser irradiation as a curative treatment.
