In face grinding using electroplated CBN cup quill, as a result of grain cutting length being large, grains are continuously kept in touch with workpiece, and coolant can not reach the grinding points easily, it makes grinding forces be increased rapidly and wheel life be shortened. In the paper, the hollow shank coolant supplying method and the titled spindle grinding method are used, so that stability of grinding process is improved, wheel life is increased by 50 percent, and a good machining effect is obtained. In grinding process, grain flank worn, grain cutting edges chipping, and blunted grains broken are occurred in CBN grains. Grain flank worn makes grinding forces be increased but the latter makes grinding forces be reduced, their mutual action makes wheel grinding forces be undulated. Making friction and heating in grinding process be reduced and grins broken become micro is an effective way of improving wheel grinding effect.
