Isotopy of fluids from Los Humeros system (Mexico)

摘要

Recent C, H and O isotope data in fluids from producing wells in the Los Humeros geothermal field and from natural springs related to the geothermal system are presented. Interpretation of data allowed to postulate a preliminary model on the dynamics of the system. It is assumed that local recharge occurs through a shallow aquifer and that an ancient deep meteoric aquifer is responsible of regional recharge.
