Recently, it is reported that the Internet population has reached more than 22 million in Korea. Among the Internet users, more than 6 million people subscribe high-speed Internet access service at their home. In this paper, the current status of explosive Korean Broadband high-speed Internet access market is analyzed in relation to the deployment of Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) and is benchmarked with the UK's access market. Market structure, carriers, rivalry of ADSL competition, penetration rate, service price, and service offerings are major issues of the research.
