Determination of base drugs by voltammmetry

In order to determine weak base drugs for their quality control in pharmaceutical company, titration in non-aqueous medium is commonly used. The conventional method bothers the operators with respect to the bad smell of acetic acid and the treatment of waste fluid containing large contents of acetic acid. The authors previously developed a voltammetric method for determining weak acids, based on the reduction of quinone in unbuffered media.
