Tramadal[1-(e)-(m-methoxyphenyl)-2-(e)-(dimethylaminomethyl)-cyclohexan e-1-(a)-ol] is a centrally acting analgesic that possesses an analgetic action with a potency ranging between weak opioids and morphone. Clinical studies have shown that tramadol does not have a pronounced opioid side-effect profile. While lidocaine, an amide synthesized from cocaine, is one of the most widely used local anesthetics.
