摘要

The main goal of the Knowledge-based Virtual Assembly Design Environment (KVADE) is to generate, select and evaluate, plan and optimize, and simulate the process of mechanical product assembly under the direction of expert knowledge in virtual environment. The system we present here uses the virtual environment as the user interface for the engineers to manipulate the assembly interactively, together with a knowledge-based system as an intelligent assistant to do some automatic assembly planning.
