摘要

The concrete filled steel tubular (CFT) columns have become increasingly popular in structural applications. The increased use of CFT member needs to include a series study on the ductility and strength of CFT structural system. This paper is concerned with the ultimate capacity and ductility of CFT frames. A set of experiments (4 specimens) of single story CFT frames subjected to horizontal cyclic loading with constant vertical loading will be presented, and comparison with a numerical model will be made. The test results show CFT frame has high ductility as well as high strength due to mutual confinement between core concrete and steel tube.
