Dedicated hardware and software architecture for multipoint services over ATM networks

摘要

The paper presents the structure and the functional behavior of a server hardware and software architecture able to provide a UNI signaling interface for multipoint communication and to emulate a new rate control mechanism for congestion prevention. The performances of the proposed mechanism were tested through simulations on a point-to-multipoint network model with a binary tree topology.
