摘要

This paper presents an analytical investigation of thermal performance of unidirectional flow porous bed solar air heater. The analytical model assumes a homogeneous, gray, non-scattering, semi-transparent and conducting porous bed. The coupled energy, equations for air and porous medium have been developed and numerically solved. The results show that there exists optimum values of extinction coefficient and optical depth which yields best performance for a given value of other system and operating parameters.
