The Challenges On Building Data Centers For E-commerce

摘要

In the quest to gain and maintain competitive advantage in the ear of e-Business time, it is critical to build data centers that are effective, secure, scalable, and standard compliant. Based on authors' practical experience in developing and supporting e-Commerce solutions, this paper gives clear a definition of each components of an industrial strength data center. It also addresses some of the key issues of building data centers, i.e. overall architecture design, capacity planning, component standardization, operation process definition, training and knowledge transfer, etc.
