The wave impact on the deck of a piled wharf in splash zones was investigated through laboratory experiments. Three different shore connecting types: open-piled, permeable slope with armored layer of dolosse blocks and impermeable slope with armored layer of concrete plates, were set in the experiment for the research on the effects of boundary condition with different shore connecting types on the wave impact. In the experiment, the incident wave height H is in the range from 0.1m to 0.3m, and period T in the range from 1.0s to 2.0s. The ratio of s/H, which refers to the subface level of wharf deck (s) to the incident wave height (H), was between 0.1 and 0.4. The experimental results of the wave impact pressure on wharf deck under various case studies were presented. And the effects of different shore connecting structures and incident wave parameters on the impact pressure on wharf deck were discussed.
