PROCESS TECHNIQUES AND PERFORMANCE TEST OF THE COMPOUND TOOTH FACE DOUBLE ENVELOPING HOURGLASS WORM GEARING

摘要

This article discusses the technical process to bring about the new type transmission that aims at the compound tooth face double enveloping hourglass worm gearing brought forward in literature [1], thus designing and manufacturing the new type CBN abrasion wheel, which is used to process worm and whole style worm hob. Meanwhile a series of performance test on the scaffolding test-bad with the developed new worm wheel has been carried out. The test result generally validated the superiority of the new type worm gearing on transmission efficiency and carrying capacity.
