Chemical Recuperation of Heat in a Power Plant

The chemical recuperation in a power plant has attracted great attention lately. In the paper the causes of this phenomenon have been examined and the thermodynamics grounding of using the chemical recuperation has been given. The energy efficiency of a steam gas power plant with chemical recuperation has reached 80-90% and more and it has decreased by lowering the conversion pressure. Besides, the chemical recuperation has raised the amount of gas fuel used in energetic and chemical industry and has decreased the amount of waste carbon dioxide ejected into the environment by nearly 20%. The energy efficiency of a power plant with chemical recuperation must be calculated with registration of "transit" of the methane which does not undergo a reaction in the converter.
