Ergonomics is the science that deals with the interaction of humans with their working environment. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which can develop over time and can lead to long-term disability.In the case of veterinarians, once you have identified the problems in your veterinary hospital and your operational procedures, action may be taken to make the workplace ergonomically positive. This lecture will focus on identifying tasks that can leadto musculoskeletal (as discussed in the previous lecture) injuries and how to modify such repetitive tasks to avoid injuries.
