A Nametre Viscometer was used to study several factors affecting life of Titanium prime dip slurries made with AZC binder and Zirconia flour. Water additions, flour stabilizing ion, and pseudo-magnetic flour had very minor impact on binder viscosity. Additions of metallic iron to the binder differed by binder manufacturer but also did not accelerate aging of binder. Colloidal Silica viscosity was determined to change with addition of different salts. Monitoring incoming binder, bulk storage tanks, and production slurry binder by viscosity is recommended.
