A structure of speed observer for the induction motor is proposed in the paper. Two additional integrators have been applied in the new observer to estimate new variables, which are used together with estimated rotor flux vector components in a calculating block of rotor angular velocity. The rotor angular velocity is calculated from a simple relationship and used in the observer feedback signals. Correction signals and feedback are introduced to damp oscillations appearing in the original structure of observer. Very low errors in steady states and transients of estimated rotor angular velocity have been observed in results of simulations. The main advantage of the new observer is possibility to estimate the rotor angular velocity very close or equal to zero. Results of simulations are presented.
