摘要

Polyesters are currently used in the preparation of micro- and nanoparticles, as a reuslt of their biodegradability and bicompatibility. Among the polyesters family, poly(beta malic acid) and its derivatives are of great interest in pharmacy because of the possibilities of modifying the nature and structure of lateral groups. through these modifications, it is therefore possible to adjust the physico-chemical properties of macromolecular materials in function of the considered application. Poly(betam lalic acid) derivatives having well-defined properties are obtained by anionic ring-opening (co)polymerization of beta-substituted beta-lactones which are synthesized starting from corresponding aspartic or malic acid.
